Hello my lovely readers!
I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve written my last post. The past few weeks have been extremely busy for me.
Summer is here, with scorching temperatures continuing to rise and the humidity contributing to the untameable frizz, it’s safe to say that the beach is my second home. Needless to say, with my busy schedule trying to fit exercise in has been a challenge. However, I will always try to optimize the time that I do have either before or after work, to do a session. With summer 2017 steadily on its way, holiday trips booked, new swimwear added to your wardrobe and endless margaritas-it’s easy to put exercise on the back burner.
When I travel I will always make use of my surroundings and create simple but effective bodyweight circuits since it’s a great way to squeeze in workouts around your busy itinerary. Take a few minutes out of your day to de-stress, clear your mind and get those endorphins pumping. I never look at working out as a chore, it’s something that I look forward to. Through the years, I’ve learned to love and appreciate my body; and all of the flaws and stretch marks that come with it. I know my readers are all over the world so since I can’t workout with each and every one of you, I am bringing this workout to you! Get your gals ready, head to the park and be prepared to sweat.
This particular workout is very versatile and can be done anywhere. I would recommend doing the workout in the park, so that you have access to a bench.
Complete each exercise for 45 seconds maximum effort, resting for 10 seconds in between exercises.. Remember the only way to get stronger, leaner, fitter is to continually challenge yourself.
Step up kickback
Step up sidekick
Complete above circuit 5 times.
Step up kickbacks
Step up sidekicks
Can we just take a moment to admire the concentration in my face.
Most importantly remember to have fun! Working out shouldn’t be a chore, it should be something that you look forward to. With every workout your body is getting stronger, fitter and healthier. Progress will take time but never give up!
